(BUSINESS USERS)

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Linefront platform, including our website, applications, APIs, and related services (together, the “Platform” or “Services”).

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. About Linefront

Linefront Limited (“Linefront”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a company registered in England and Wales with Company Number 16650510, with its registered office at:

Linefront Limited is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under registration number ZC094705.

3. Definitions

  • “Client”: Any organisation using Linefront to collect, process, verify, or assess information
  • “End User”: Any individual providing data via the Platform (e.g. applicants, customers, citizens, patients)
  • “Personal Data”: As defined under applicable data protection laws

4. Services Overview

Linefront provides a digital platform that enables Clients to:
  • Collect and manage data through workflows and forms
  • Verify identity and documents
  • Structure and analyse data
  • Perform eligibility assessment and decision-support processes
  • Integrate with third-party systems
Linefront provides technology infrastructure only and does not act as the decision-maker unless explicitly agreed.

5. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Platform, you confirm that:
  • You have authority to bind your organisation
  • You will comply with these Terms and applicable laws

6. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.

Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

7. Data Protection and Privacy

Roles
  • You (Client) are the Data Controller
  • Linefront acts as the Data Processor, except where acting as a Controller for limited purposes (e.g. internal operations)
Processing
We process Personal Data only:
  • On your instructions
  • As necessary to provide the Services
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures, including:
  • Encryption
  • Access controls
  • Monitoring and security controls
Data is hosted within the UK and/or EEA unless otherwise agreed, with appropriate safeguards in place.

8. Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for:
  • Ensuring lawful basis for processing Personal Data
  • Providing appropriate notices to End Users
  • Ensuring data accuracy and legitimacy
  • Determining what data is collected and when
  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations
You must not instruct Linefront to process data unlawfully.

9. Use of the Platform

You agree not to:
  • Reverse engineer or copy the Platform
  • Build competing services
  • Use the Platform unlawfully
  • Upload harmful or malicious content
  • Attempt unauthorised access
  • Interfere with system integrity

10. AI and Automated Processing

Linefront may provide features that use artificial intelligence, machine learning, or rules-based systems to support:
  • Identity verification
  • Document analysis
  • Risk scoring and assessment
  • Eligibility evaluation
  • Workflow automation
Nature of Outputs
Outputs generated by these systems are:
  • Informational and assistive only
  • Not guaranteed to be accurate or complete
  • Not legal, financial, or professional advice
Client Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
  • Reviewing and validating outputs
  • Making final decisions
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws
Automated Decision-Making
Where automated decision-making is used:
  • You are responsible for ensuring lawful use
  • You must provide appropriate notices and obtain consent where required
  • You must ensure human oversight where legally required
Linefront does not make decisions on behalf of Clients unless explicitly agreed.

11. Credit and Background Checks

Where applicable, Linefront may facilitate credit and background checks through third-party providers, including TransUnion.
  • These checks will generally be conducted as soft credit checks, which do not affect an individual’s credit score
  • Where a hard credit check is required, End Users will be clearly informed in advance
  • Clients are responsible for ensuring lawful basis and consent where required
Linefront is not a credit provider and does not make lending decisions.

12. Data Sharing and Permissions

You acknowledge that:
  • End Users must provide appropriate consent where required
  • You may only use data for permitted purposes
  • You must not sell or misuse Personal Data
You must notify Linefront within 24 hours of any data breach affecting Platform data.

13. Sub-processors

We may use trusted sub-processors to deliver the Services.
All sub-processors:
  • Are subject to due diligence
  • Are contractually bound
  • Implement appropriate safeguards
A list is available on request.

14. Service Availability

We will provide the Services with reasonable skill and care.
However:
  • Services are provided “as is”
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • We may suspend access where necessary

15. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Platform remain with Linefront.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Platform.
You may not:
  • Copy, modify, or distribute the Platform
  • Build competing products
  • Remove proprietary notices

16. Confidentiality

You agree to keep confidential all non-public information relating to Linefront, including:
  • Technology
  • APIs
  • Documentation
  • Business processes

17. Analytics and Anonymised Data

Linefront may:
  • Aggregate and anonymise data
  • Use such data for analytics and product improvement
No personally identifiable data will be included.

18. Third-Party Services

The Platform may integrate with third-party services.
Linefront is not responsible for:
  • Third-party accuracy
  • Availability
  • Compliance

19. Fees and Commercial Terms

Use of the Platform may be subject to:
  • Subscription fees
  • Usage-based pricing
  • Separate agreements or order forms

20. Termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if:
  • You breach these Terms
  • Required by law
  • Services are discontinued

21. Data Retention

We retain data:
  • In accordance with your instructions
  • For as long as necessary to provide Services
  • As required by law
You are responsible for data exported from the Platform.

You are responsible for:

24. Disclaimer and Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:
  • Services are provided “as is”
  • We make no warranties regarding accuracy or suitability
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages

25. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Linefront against claims arising from:
  • Your misuse of the Platform
  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Your non-compliance with applicable laws

26. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
